When we started River Market Pottery we had only one goal in mind — to offer “studio pottery” caliber flower pots at mass-merchandise prices. In our search for such containers, we met with dozens of manufacturers from across the globe, ranging from small workshops in the mountains of Thailand to 500,000 square foot modern factories in Europe. We racked up frequent flier miles as we hunted for flowerpots with the perfect mix of style and construction, of uniqueness and durability. We wanted our planters to be freeze-proof, and we wanted them to be individually crafted. We rejected manufacturers which didn’t meet strict our ethical standards, and eliminated many others who didn’t share our vision of quality, beauty, uniqueness, and durability.
Our concept has thrived, as lawn and garden consumers across the country have recognized the unique blend of style and function found in our containers. Our products are regularly selected for inclusion in movies and television shows, furthering the demand for them at the consumer level.
Our collection of flower pots currently includes products from studios in Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Thailand and China.
All of our products are hand-crafted, and as a result, individual items may vary from those shown in our catalog photos. Sizes are also approximate, and the sizes of our planters may vary +/- 15% in any dimension.
